over & over: originally published in Please Hold Magazine, Issue #2: Feminine Shame
First Messages is a series of digital pieces exploring the different ways we present ourselves to the online world. The first piece, Excerpts from Online Journal, show a side of the me that is completely unfiltered, a video of typing out thoughts over a series of months. The second piece, Answering Every Message (1), shows four gifs of me looking at my phone, answering messages - the physical representation, versus the online presence, shown in the third piece, Answering Every Message (2), which shows four gifs of me responding to initial messages on Tinder. The work was originally shown during Bring STL at Whisk Bakery.
